ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL PANAGARH (CBSE Affiliation No. : 2430256) started its humble journey in 1974 as a Nursery School with just 10 students and then was upgraded to Garrison School in 2001. It became Army School under the aegis of AWES. (Army Welfare Education Society) on 1st Apr 2006. In Jul 2011, the School was upgraded to Army Public School, Panagarh and was accorded the ‘Public School’ status.

    The School has classes from class I to XII with 33 teachers and 990 students. Class XI and XII have two streams - Science and Humanities.


    A Virtual exhibition of Computer based projects prepared by students of APS, Panagarh was organised today at 11 am.
    Students showcased their innovation and ideas in the field of computer technology by showcasing their projects, apps, webpages, gaming apps, blogs and Excel skills .
    Train Reservation app, Webpages on Ladakh, APS, Panagarh Websites, Blog on Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, Games and calculator, flash movies were few projects to mention about.

  • Ramanujan Maths Quiz

    To enhance the Mathematical aptitude, reasoning and logical abilities amongst our students, Ramanujan Maths Quiz was organised in APS, Panagarh on 27 Nov. The quiz was conducted for classes 1 to 8. Students had to appear in a preliminary round conducted on 25 Nov and were selected for the final round conducted today. The quiz was organised to celebrate the great Indian Mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan.

    Following rounds were conducted.

    Round 3: Puzzle
    Round 4: Rapid fire

  • Technomania 2021 , a Science Exhibition was conducted on 13 Nov 2021 at APS, Panagarh.
    Students of classes 1 to 12 of APS, Panagarh showcased their working models on topics of interest in Science and technology.
    The main objectives was to promote interest in Science and Technology among younger generation, encourage scientific and technological creativity among students and to inculcate a sense of pride in their talent.
    A live magic show, showcasing wonders of chemical world was the also conducted by our students.

  • World Space Week is the largest annual space event in the world being celebrated from 4 Oct to 10 Oct this year.

    APS, PANAGARH took its small step to help build up the space workforce of tomorrow by inspiring our students of classes I to IX by giving them a brief overview of world of Astronomy.

    The 2021 theme of World Space Week is
    Women in Space.
    With this theme we brought awareness to the issue of gender diversity in the space sector and identifed the prospects of women in space-related careers. 

  • TOY STORY: A Virtual Toy Mela

    Army Public School, Panagarh has organised TOY STORY: A Virtual Toy Mela for the students of classes I-VIII on 8 Oct at 8 am.

    The main objective of this mela was to leverage the potential of toys in making learning joyful across all ages in education.

    Information regarding the different indigenous toys of India was shared with our students. The main attractions of the Fair included a Virtual Exhibition of various toys of different states and hand made toys by our students.

  • International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers on 29th May

    International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers on 29th May offers a chance to pay tribute to the uniformed and civilian personnel's invaluable contribution to the work of UN. To commemorate this day, APS, Panagarh oragnised a virtual interactive session with Lt Col Shobha Nair at 11:30 am.
    Lt Col Shobha Nair acquainted the listeners with the contribution of Peacekeepers and shared her moments during the mission.
    Students of classes 9th to 12th participated in the session and interacted enthusiastically.

  • Commencement of session 2021-22


    APS, Panagarh commenced the academic session 2021-22 with renewed spirit and zeal. We have started the new academic session through virtual classes for Classes till 8th to ensure that the learning process continues unabated even as the campus remains closed amid the threat of corona virus. In this new era of ‘blended learning’, we take pride in successfully integrating the focus of online learning with the expected outcomes. Our aim is to plan, keeping one thing in mind — that learning should not stop.

  • Virtual Parent's-Student's Orientation Program for class VI

    APS, Panagarh conducted a Virtual Parent Orientation Program for parents and students of class VIth for the academic session 2021-22 aiming at the smooth onboarding and transition of students from primary section to upper primary section. The counselor of school Ms Shifali Nehria extended a warm welcome to all the parents and conveyed her best wishes to the students as they await to embark on their new learning journey. She conducted an interactive session, taking the parents through the system , processes and a complete sneak peak into the school's principles, philosophy and pedagogies. She urged the parents to participate as equal stakeholders in the learning cycle of the students. The event concluded with a Q & A session by the parents and students.

  • World Heritage Day


    April 18 is annually observed as the World Heritage Day, also recognized as the International Day for Monuments and Sites (IDMS). The initiative by the International Council on Monuments and Sites was approved by UNESCO in 1983. The primary aim is to increase the awareness about the diversity of cultural heritage and conserve them for generations to come. It is to bring global attention towards the world’s built Monuments and Heritage sites and the efforts required to preserve them.

    APS, Panagarh organised an interactive session on 16 Apr 2021 at 1130 hrs for students of class 1st to 8th, to celebrate the diversity of heritage across West Bengal. Students were made aware of the World Heritage sites like Darjeeling and Sundarbans in West Bengal and other sites of cultural importance like Malda, Bishnupur and Murshidabad.
